Suggestions for driving Cadiz to Zaragosa

You can check out Jaén on the way to Úbeda. And don't forget Baeza, at least for a walk around. One the way there you can drive through the Sierra Mágina (think olive oil) if you are not in a hurry.
Heading up to Toledo, you'll want to stop in Almagro (a must), visit Ciudad Real, and stop to look at the windmills in Consuegra.
Driving from Toledo to Zaragoza can be boring, but you can stop in Sigüenza for lunch and see what they've done with the place. Lunch at the Parador always works for us, and is very popular with the crowd from Madrid on the weekends.

Tommmo - we went to the Hammam in Córdoba and had a lovely experience. Highly recommend it!

Finally got to enter Mezquite in the free morning session. An hour was fine ...frankly we like unchristianised mosques best. So trying to drive to Medina Alzahara in morning on way to Ubeda. The tower museum at the end of Roman bridge was great.Archeological museum this afternoon. Around 32 deg now!Hammam sounds great.....
