Suggestions for beach vacation
 

Hi,

We are looking for a location in Europe to go for about 5-6 days that would satisfy some of the following:

* Short-ish flight from UK
* Coastal location
* Beach areas
* small village- not excessively touristy
* Located within an hours drive of some sights for daytrips

Some English friends of ours are returning for the 2nd time to Cyprus. I think it meets your criteria, and sounds lovely, although I've never been.

I would suggest Nerja, eastern Costa del Sol. Lovely beaches, pretty town not too touristy, 40 min from Malage airport or 1 hour from Granada airport, both have cheap flights arriving from UK, Great also for sight seeing, Alhambra in Granda, hot springs in Alhama, Caves in Nerja, and much more. St Jean de Luz, flying into Biarritz. Charming basque town with a nice sandy beach, plenty of restaurants and shops.
