suggestions for a weekend in eastern france close to Swiss border
I have a business meeting in Geneva and want to meet a friend in (who lives in Paris) somewhere in eastern France reasonably close to the Swiss border for a few days. Have visited Alsace-Lorraine already. We were considering aix-les-bains or evian. Any other suggestions?

Annecy is lovely, especially in warm wather, someplace on the Lac Annecy.

Last May I spent a day in Besancon and really enjoyed it. It's a pretty town with a river and a bluff overlooking it.

Good point about weather. I should mention it will be in March.
