Suggestions for a group of singles to go New Years

Suggestions for a group of 4-6 girls (single) to go for New Years? We have all been to Europe before, but never this time of year. Any suggestions would be helpful. Leaning twds London or Spain.

You keep mentioning you're single, so should I be cynical and read into what you're asking for?

You sound like you should be in some vile "bar" in somewhere like Falaraki or Magaluf where you can take advantage of your single status, or rather your single status will be taken advantage of.

If I've been horribly wrong, then accept my apologies and carry on reading. London will be more fun than Madrid, simply because you'll understand the language more easily, both will be cold though. I enjoyed Athens last year, sipping Krug from my terrace overlooking the festivities, a fabulous atmosphere.

Hey mk2..
The Sydney fireworks were the best way to see in this year and what a great atmosphere.
Alas not much help to you jm74.
Any major city will have a great itinary for NYE. None more so than Cardiff in Wales.

I wouldn't really recommend London, unless your aim is to celebrate quietly with your travelling companions. If you want more of a street party atmosphere, with lots of public drinking and plenty of opportunity to pull strangers, try Edinburgh or Glasgow. In fact, just about anywhere in Scotland will have something going on...

We celebrated New Year Eve in Vienna and really enjoyed it. There is street life with champagne and glug (sp). I am not sure about the life of the young single, but maybe someone else can comment. Also if you have any fur coats in your closet or from relatives, wear with pride in Vienna. You see a lot of them and they are warm.

Have you changed your mind about the Caribbean, jm?
