Suggested transportation between destinations
What is your suggested or alternate modes of transportation between each of the destinations on the tour http://www.fodors.com/world/europe/i...e-mountains-44.

Again, consult the Rough Guide. Or other guidebook.
|
Not sure what is meant by the "rough guide"? Thanks!
|
The Rough Guides are a series of guidebooks.
http://www.roughguides.com You can buy one (always a good investment, IME), or consult one at your local library, or glance at one at a favorite bookstore. The Lonely Planet is another series of generally comprehensive guidebooks with good information about transpiration options, IME. Sounds like you might benefit from spending a few moments at your local library or bookstore to browse through some guidebooks. You have LOTS of options, and at least the better ones will give you information about things you never even thought to ask. :-) |
Rail is best.

If you look at your link it shows the travel times for both train and car. Which is better depends on how many people you are, what other stops you will make and your desire to drive in europe.
For info on trains go to bahn.de - it has schedules for all of europe and will help you map out specific trains. We would probably do it by car but we like to do road trips in europe and are both comfortable driving there - and tend to stop at a lot of smaller places in between. |
Sorry - it also depends on exactly what time of year you are going. This is really a late spring, summer, early fall itinerary. I would never do it in cold weather.
