Stuttgart Train Stations

I'm going to need to take a train from Heidelberg to Stuttgart this July.

The hotel I'm staying at has a train station right outside the doors, but I'm not sure how I figure out how to get there.

I'm going to be traveling on Sunday, 23 July and would like to get to Stuttgart sometime around 1800 or so.

This is the address:
Vollmoellerstrasse 5,
70563 Stuttgart-Vaihingen,
Germany

Any help would be apprecaited.

You can search for connection at www.bahn.de

Basically you take a Intercity or Eurocity train from Heidelberg to Stuttgart Hbf, the main station. Takes 40 minutes. Then switch to the S-bahn (a commuter train) to Stuttgart-Vaihingen. That takes about 14 minutes.

Go to the Bahn website, reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en.
Click on the tab that says "Advanced search".
Input from: as Heidelburg. Change the to: Station/Stop to Address. Put in Stuttgart-Vaihingen Vollmoellerstrasse 5.
Put in your date. For time, put in 1800 and change departure to arrival.
Click Search Connections.
Click the box in front of any connections you want and click Details for Selection.
This will show you all the trains you need to take, times, the stations and track numbers. Note the last leg is an S-bahn to the Stuttgart-Vaihingen station.
If you click the "walk" link, it will even show you where to walk to the address.

Oh. The website my not like a date in July yet, so you may have to put in an earlier date. The schedule shouldn't change a whole lot between now and July, but you can always check back later.

Express trains (ICE/IC/EC) are faster but they cost a lot more. If you want to see just regional connections, go to Modes of Transport and change it from Standard Search to Only Local Transport.
