Stuttgart hotel help needed

Which hotel would be recommended more:

Hotel Royal
Wartburg Hotel
Hotel am Feuersee
City Hotel

I am a single male 46 in Germany on business. Quiet is better than party atmosphere, but easy walk to restos and brauhaus/biergarten is good. Going Oct 1-3 and attending Cannstatter Volksfest October 1. All are currently available

Stuttgart is wine country. There are vineyards even in the city.

Based solely on location, I'd say the Wartburg has the best location, then Royal, then Am Feuersee. I don't like the City hotel location on the other side of the Hauptstrasse which is a highway like street although it is near the Bohnenviertel cafe restaurant row, I prefer the restaurants in the proper downtown area.
I have never been inside any of the 4 hotels you mentioned, they are basic 3-4 star hotels with lesser staff and quality. Many times the Graf Zeppelin offers special (discounted) room rates worth checking for better quality, location and staff .

If you want info on downtown restaurants and entertainment, you can read my posting on Stuttgart on the link below. I've been there a couple more times since that report and will be going there again this October:

We enjoyed the City Hotel and found it an reasonable walk to the city center. It is in a fairly quiet residential neighborhood. Breakfast was decent and the staff were helpful. We were there in late November for the Christmas Market.

Ended up at teh am Feuersee. Decent place and easy to walk to center and Hauptbahnhof.

Geeper: Did you like the hotel? It's close enough to the Feuersee S bahn station wasn't it? I also was in Stuttgart last weekend, coming from Italy, it was the most boring part of our travel but I was there for a conference. Hope you had a good tour/experience.

The hotel was basic, but fine for what I used it for - sleeping. I did go to Cannstatter Volksfest one night, so slept in most of the next day. It is very close (couple minutes walk) from the Feuersee S-bahn Station. Safe area. I walked around by myself (actually got lost at one point) at around 2Am with no hassles at all. Actually didnt see many people at that hour

I'll admit, doesn't seem to be that much to do in Stuttgart. Im sure I am wrong. Just my impression.
