Aaaargh! I cannot convince my friend to go! She has too many family obligations, and won't succumb to my request that we take a week off just for ourselves. After all, we both turn 60 next month, and we've been friends since we were 18. I am really bummed.

Crystal ball says... a solo trip in your future :)

I just don't want to do this trip alone, or even with DH. The whole idea was a 60th celebration w/long-time girl friend. Oh, well. Different priorities. C'est la vie. (Although, I am still considering begging her! haha)
