Stuck in Paris
 

Hi my friends hostel just cancelled her booking and credit card payment , and they did it when she arrived in Paris. Now she has nowhere to stay. Can you suggest me some cheap hotels or hostels fir students?

If she's looking for a hotel under $100, then Ibis and Timhotels are usually pretty inexpensive, and there are many in Paris. If she's looking for something cheaper, I don't know. I'd recommend booking the first night and then looking if she needs to find something cheaper.

Have her check with a tourist info office. They may be able to hook her up with something in her price range.

Which hostel cancelled your friend's booking? I know one not very far ( I walked ) from Gare de Lyon train station. I have not stayed there but stayed a few times at IBIS Bastille Faubourg Saint Antoine in 11th on the other side of the same street. Maybe you can find a bed at the hostel there or a room for a night at IBIS, hoping it is not the hostel that cancelled your friend's bed. According to Google Map, tha name is Auberge Internationale des Jeunes / International Youth Hostel at 10 Rue Trousseau.

Thanks for your replies, i don't know the name of her Hostel, but the des jeunes name sounds familiar, maybe she looked at it once. Ill get back on this. But thanks for your quick replies

Another Generator suggestion. I've passed by many times and there is a lot of bustle in a relatively quiet safe area with good transportation (#75bus among others)
