Just googling the location--I hate to admit it was the first time I'd ever heard of it. Thanks for the links, heti.

In September we were rounding the tip of Italy via Azamara on our way to port at Sorrento, and Captain announced that we'd be passing Stromboli at approximately 11 p.m. He couldn't promise what we'd see, but as we were out on deck that night, we saw red volcanic outlines. Before that announcement, never knew of such an island!! Only known to us as a type of pizza-cousin-sandwich!
