Um, Beth has emailed and IMed me. That is how I "caught" her posing as someone else. She emailed me as another person who regularly posts on this board. In this email I wrote some personal things about myself. Yet, 2 minutes after I answered this email, Beth IMed me and knew EXACTLY what I wrote in the email to "the alias."

But thanks for your valuable contribution to this thread, and--do I notice a continuing trend here?--your real e-mail address included. I think it's sick and pitiful to claim you want to know details about someone's life, then accuse them of being an egomaniac when they post & share details of their trip.<BR><BR>Beth & I have never met, but she's welcome to visit my husband, myself & our kids any time she likes. I'd say the same for you, "Laughing", but I don't extend invitations to folks who're so mysterious about their identities.

These issues are common on this forum and, in generally, common online throughout the interet. <BR><BR>Beth A. has been posting at Fodors for years now. I have exhanged email queries regarding travel with her. What sad and mean lives you must live for you to doubt that Beth could really be as cheerful, confident, adventurous, energetic, bright, sociable, prosperous, eager, joyful and well-likled as the image she projects in her tales on this board. Happy, nice people do exist, you know (and some of them are even lawyers). <BR><BR>And Leela, smarty pants, "Morning Glory" is another lovely person, but not Beth. Imagine that: not one, but two women who may seem too good to be true, but are not fictitious characters.<BR><BR>And by the way, a real lawyer should know the research tools for finding another lawyer. And some middle aged lawyer who's working out of her home and is not listed in many of the "usual" places is in no position to yell "phoney" just because Beth doesn't happen to be easy to find in the listings at the moment. As many of you know, I am a regular on this board, and I also find it strange that Sally Fowler has not been seen her for a very long time and suddenly has appeared. I makes me wonder.<BR><BR>I am also convinced that there are those on this site who post under presumed names and personalites. It is so easy to spot. For example: some people keep misspelling the same word over and over.<BR><BR>I don't know if Beth is real or not, but I don't really care because she really doesn't harm anyone. But, there are people on this board who are posers and just peddle bullcrap. I have travelled all over the world and there are some who post here that say they travelled to so and so and I know they are liars.<BR><BR>And to Jenny Bell, if you have AOL you can have 5 screen names, thus post under 5 different email addresses, and IM under those same screen names. So, Niave could be right. Something smells rotten in Denmark.

I met Beth at a Fodors'luncheon a few months ago and can vouch that she is real and that she's in Europe pursuing job opportunities that most of us would die for. She's a lovely lady with an agenda that she's pursuing and, apparently, making the most of. <BR>And that's the crux of the problem, isn't it? Especially for the jealous FellowLawyer, the curmudgeon lawyer who is jealous of everybody who has something she doesn't have - be it fame or fortune or just a nice life. FellowLawyer doesn't have a nice life or many opportunities or much money, and she's green with envy. Her intitals are LSK - I'll let you figure out who she is , a perenially pissed-off, sour, wannabee lawyer who just didn't make it and who'll be crazed about it until the cows come home. She's probably celebrating Passover by stalking people on the internet.
