Strolling in Paris

Hi,
Is Paris Stroller friendly?
We are travelling to Paris during last week of December for 5 days. We are also planning to visit Brussels and Amsterdam for one day/night trip. We will be travelling with 1 yr old toddler. Are these places stroller friendly? How about the attractions like Museums and Eiffel tower?
Thanks

Yes, it is stroller friendly, but it very much depends on the stroller. It HAS to have decent wheels.

Don't expect curb cuts at every street corner or an elevator or escalator in every metro station.

With the metro you'll need to be ready to take the stairs with the stroller.

Paris has an excellent bus system. There is a handy pocket guide ["Le Bus"] available at tourist shops and book stores. Also searchable tips on this board.

In my personal view the best way to see Paris is through gentle strolls, with regular stops at cafes to soak up the atmosphere and watch the world go by - just like the Parisians do.

There is a good selection of free self guided walks outlined to do this and at the same take in the sights at:
