Stretched Limo hire in Rome

We would like to hire a stretched limo for about 6 people in October for a tour around the city lasting about 1 hour to celebrate a birthday, can anyone recommend a good quality reliable company we could contact?

Does it have to be a stretch limo? Will you use a minivan? With a car as large as a stretch you won't be able to drive around back streets.

I'm sure some of the limo shuttles could provide a limo, but not sure a stretch would be practical. Many areas in Rome are pedestrian only so your limo would have to drop you near some of the sites.

There are many sites the car will be too large to get near - so you will have to be jumping in and out to see a lot of things. Also - not sure how much you will get to see in one hour?

Stretch limo? Rome? One hour tour? -- these are sort of mutually exclusive concepts . . .

johnmel,

I have to say, my first thought was "Ha, never been to Roma, have they?"

Maybe a stretch Vespa would work! :-)

Walk - it's what everyone does and it's MUCH better than being cooped up in a car of any type!

Buon viaggio!

PS - spend that money and hour sitting outdoors at an excellent ristorante, with a view, accompanied by a really great bottle of vino.

One of the great rooftop bars for drinks would be great.

And, spend your money on a couple of taxis between distant spots, if you must.

I have been to Rome dozens of times and never seen a stretched anything (motor vehicles anyway). I saw Berlusconi sitting in the the back seat of an Alfa sedan; the driver almost ran over me because even that is large in many Roman streets.

I think you need to rethink your desires in this case.

I think you can get a stretch (not sure about stretched) limo in almost any major european city. We got one in Vienna once (by accident) when we had the hotel arrange an erly morning care to the airport. But - it was white and when I asked the driver he said it was used almost exclusively for weddings.

Rome probably has a couple as well. But - they re not a practical way to sightsee - since many sights are foot only - or else have room for normal size vehicles to stop for a few minutes.
