Stresa or Bellagio / Lugano or Locarno
 

From what I've read on this board all four of these towns sound very nice. I would like to stay in 2 of them, but I can't decide which 2.<BR><BR>Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.

Just a few weeks ago we spent three nights on Lake Garda (on Torri de Benaco), then three nights at Bellagio, then two nights at Stresa. Stresa was actually my least favorite of the three. The islands are very interesting at Stresa, but I found the area much less interesting and less to "do" than either of the other two lakes. Just my personal opinion.<BR>Several years ago, we spent several days in Lugano and then several days in Locarno. Both were nice, but I like Lugano more than Locarno. <BR>
