Street Art in London

I read in one of my guide books about artists selling their work on Kings Road on Saturdays (Similar to soho in New York). Is this still true (old guidebook).

Are there other areas where artists sell their work? My niece and I both love to paint and would enjoy viewing the work of others.

thanks!

Well the biggest is on Bayswater Rd along the north side of Hyde Park every Sunday. Everything from schlocky tourist prints to very good art in all mediums. I can't even guestimate how many, but the disp[lays stretch for more than 1/2 a mile along the Baywater rd fence.

thanks janis. We will be in that area on Sunday so it works out great.

Is speakers corner worth a listen?

Yes, but not for long. I think Covent Garden may also have street artists selling works or at least doing portraits on the street.

There were also some outside the Tower of London when I was there. Pretty nice stuff actually.
