Strasbourg to Germany
 

We'll be visiting Strasbourg from Paris, staying overnight and leaving the next evening. Is it possible to visit Germany (the town that's closest to Strasbourg) from Strasbourg by train within that short period of time?

Strousburg is about 10 mins from Germany, there are many German towns you can visit even in that amount of time.

Nic!<BR><BR>Offenburg on the edge of the Black Forest is quite a nice place to spend a few hours. It can easily be reached from Strasbourg by train in less than 30 minutes. Another nice place but smaller is Appenweier, which is also on the train line.<BR><BR>Harzer

Thanks for the replies. Can anyone tell me what train(s) you need to take to get from Strasbourg to Germany (Appenweier, Freiburg, etc.)??

Nic!<BR><BR>Check the site www.bahn.hafas.de for train times. <BR><BR>There will be train from Strasbourg to Offenbach or Appenweier and Baden-Baden every couple of hours connecting to the line running between Frankfurt and Basel. e.g. the 15.13 from Strasbourg runs through Appenweier and arrives Frankfurt airport at 18.02. The cost of a ticket is around 40?. <BR><BR>Harzer
