Storing our trip photos?..

My husband finally figured out how to get our photos of our last trip sent to me online..Now I need to tell him where to store them so friends and family can access them. Seems to me it was Kodak???...or what?..can anyone help. Details please...

We have a Mac so it took him a while to figure it all out. Everyone in the family who tried to help has a PC..Just in time as we are leaving for another trip on the 31st..

(I don't do any of this...)

Thanks..

You can always try www.photobucket.com. It has free photo sharing. But it will keep all your photos no bigger than 500 kb. Which is still a very good size.

Do you need to distribute passwords for all of these? Can you put captions by your pictures?

www.Kodakgallery.com

Just specify that no password is needed to see the pictures.

I use www.dotphoto.com. It definitely lets you attach captions, which definitely makes them more enjoyable.

Another neat thing about dotphoto is that you can download your photos as well as upload them, so that if you've somehow lost a photo from your hard drive, you can download a replacement.

Once you've set up your album on Dotphoto, it has a feature that lets you send e-mail announcements to friends and family which links to the album, no concerns about passwords.

Check the agreements you sign with whichever site you select. Not unreasonably, some (maybe all?) will not continue to store your photos after a specified period of time unless you buy products from them; prints, albums, etc. It's not a good idea to rely exclusively on these sites; keep your original media as well or store on iPhoto since you have a Mac.
