Storing luggage in Paris
 

Hi everybody, I’m travelling in Europe with 2 friends.

Currently in Paris.

We would like to store our luggage in a locker because we have to leave our hotel at 11am and our flight for Amsterdam is at 8pm at Charles de Gaulle airport on Monday.

We want to shop a last time.
If anyone has any advice ?

Your hotel may allow you to store your luggage there until your airport departure. Have you asked them?

It seems like there is no advice to offer. You want to store your luggage in a locker while you go shopping. You already decided that.

And, yes definitely ask the hotel first. They should be willing to do it for a modest fee.

I'd guess the advice asked is for the facility or an idea--finally offered. ;o(

I don't think most hotels think they are in the business of long-term luggage storage and you can just pay them off. Also, they wouldn't have a legitimate fee schedule for such a service, they do it for guests and have limited space. Not to mention liability.

Sure, you can ask but I wouldn't assume a hotel would do.

There are for-profit luggage storage services in Paris other than train stations, also. But if you have to go somewhere, anyway, I guess might as well go to a train station. Citylocker is one private service

Have a final fling in Paris and take it to the Gare de Lyon and check it. Have a glass of wine in the lounge of Le Train Bleu and then go shopping in the nearby shops under the Plante de Promenade.

I've never stayed in a hotel that was unwilling to hold luggage between check-out and actual departure. If it's on the same day, which I assume from the question it is.
So ask the hotel first.

Ditto tulips. It's very common for hotels to store luggage for departing guests and I've never been charged.

Thirded. I have never had an issue with hotels refusing to do this.

Maybe OP doesn't want to go back to hotel and then reroute towards CDG.
In that case Care de Lyon or Gare du Nord makes sense.
But I concurr that la promenade plantée is nicer than GdN.

I find a request to hold luggage is a good test of a hotel's attitude in general. If they say no, I book elsewhere. I've had hotels & B&Bs happily hold bags, even when there was no designated facility for doing so and the bags rested under the watchful eye of desk staff for the day. In May my Paris hotel cheerfully held my bag in their luggage room for 3 days before I even checked in for a 1 night stay, while I visited a friend out of town. A small place not too far from Gare du Nord, I'd return because of the altogether cheerful helpful staff.

The thing is that we leave our hotel in the morning and our flight is late night at Charles de Gaulle airport, so we saw several possibilities like storage in hotel or lockers, our concierge in hotel said that we can use a mobile luggage storage service

So we tried this Eelway's mobile luggage storage (on the link that you noticed) and it was quite simple & reassuring.

The concierge (as they are called) sent us a text an hour before arriving and collected our luggage at our rental. He sealed each bag and asked me to sign on his phone to confirm the seals numbers.

5 hours later at the airport, I met him at the rendez-vous point I received by email and by text. He was easy to spot with his branded yellow tee-shirt.

Another signature and done.
