Storage at Marco Polo airport?

Does anyone know if there is a baggage storage area or lockers at Venice's Marco Polo airport?

Luv- I see nothing to indicate that there is a baggage storage area at Marco Polo on their website, so I would have to conclude there isn't-but that doesn't mean that there might not be one-if there is, it just isn't indicated on their interactive website:

Actually, there is a telephone number given for temporary baggage storage at Venice airport:

Deposito temporaneo di bagagli 041.713719

There's no telling what their definition of "temporary" is.

Thanks Eloise, we were hoping to dump one of our bags when we arrived in Venice and turned in the car-thinking it would be much easier to get to our place lugging only one suitcase! I'll report back if I can get a solid answer. Shirley

Shirley - If you're driving into Venice, why not drop off your car at Piazzale Roma rather than at the airport?

You could use the baggage store at the railway station.

Steve James, we have to leave our B&B (B&B Sandra) quite early to be at the airport for a 6:45 am take off. Would be able to access the baggage that early and then train to the airport? We hadn't even considered a train. Thanks, I'll look in to it. Shirley

Shirley - Hmmm - now I see the problem.

Even if the baggage store was open that early there is no train service to the airport - you'd have to cross to the bus station (- Piazzale Roma)

Steve James, I was afraid that wouldn't work. We found a site-VeniceforVisitors and they say there is baggage storage. We have emailed them and hopefully will get a reply. I'm really hoping I don't have to try to call. We'll post when we get some kind of answer. Thanks everyone for your input. Shirley

I have been contacted by the Venice Tourist Board and they wrote:
after your arrival at the "marco polo" airport, you can leave your suitcases at the left luggage room situated in the arrival lounge, next to the post office. the fare is 4,50 euro per day, and the opening time is from 5.00 am to 21.00 pm.
I will report after our trip how this worked. Shirley
