Don't plan any big time excursion. You face 30 to 90 mins getting out of LHR plus 2 to 3 hour check-in requirement means you have only 2.5 to 4 hours to spare. You can get into London on the Paddington Express in 15 minutes - but it takes 10 to 15 minutes to get to the train. double that for the return journey and you are down to qbout 2 hours sightseeing time.

So - a good alternative is to catch a cab and go to Windsor - it is only about 10 to 15 minutes to the Castle from T-3. Spend 3+ hours wandering around the town and Castle and get back to LHR.

Hi Jordan,
you have to calculate
50 min by subway to the city
50min return to airport +
addtl .45 min security/chk in reasons
makes it about three hours left.

You want for a shopping, better dining ?

After all whats known of the english kitchen, why not use this short stop for
lunch or aerly dinner either the
Le Gavroche - classic elements of french cuisine combinet with modern eglish styles. The interior is edwardian but not to massy, eating room
is a wonderful british light mint. Stylish. You can call for opening hours and make(must) a reservation
+44-020-74080881
or you like a more french style cuisine
in an discrete intimate place such as
"Tante Claire".(Knightsbridge)
You will find enlightened seafruits and
rich cheese flavours for dessert.
It will take about 2,5/3 hours for a relaxed dining.

Otherwise I suggest to take the Heathrow Express that takes you normally
45min to Padington station (every 15min. Terminal 1-3)

Or take a dayroom at one of the airport hotels, rest, swim, eat, enjoy your stay, and fight against jetlag.

Where are u coming from and where are you going to would be another question.
If it will be a longer flight (more than another 3 hrs) stay in the airport hotel.
More infoes needed?
Shain/eu/de/düsseldorf
Also note whitch date it will be, and
check out for special markets f.e.

Actually maybe it's better to take a
