Stonehenge Inner Circle next May

Jump to last reply

I am booked to stay in Salisbury for one night on May 23- 2018. I will take train from Gatwick to Salisbury on this wed morning and then want to see Stonehenge Inner circle.
I am leaving the area the next day - Thurs May 24th to get from Bath or Bristol to Knaresborough by train on time for my friends to pick me up around suppertime.

I would like to see inner circle -- but English Heritage Trust site doesn't seem to have those dates available yet for booking. Does anyone know if you can book the inner circle tours on this site anyway? (once they are open)

also - Is it better to take a private tour like Vic's Taxi from Salisbury for the evening of the 23rd (sunset tour)- assuming I have to book the entry to stonehenge ticket separate from the Taxi

or, should I arrange for a Stonehenge tour company (Pat Shelley- Anderson Tours)?
I've emailed both of these companies and haven't gotten any response yet.

I would ideally like to get to bath early enough on thursday to see a bit of it before getting on a train to knaresborough mid-afternoon. So, what's the best way to get from Salisbury to Bath the next morning-- is it fairly quick by train? I've read there are free walking tours in the morning in BAth, but I will have my luggage with me-- does train station there hold luggage? (can't book train yet either- so can't check)
