stonehenge day trip from london

Hi
My family would will be in London in June and would like to work in a day-trip to Stonehenge. I saw that Rabbies had a perfect tour which included a stop at Windsor, but it stops running in March. We would really like to avoid renting a car and prefer to use a small-group tour much like what Rabbies offers since it would include a tour guide. And a tour that included a stop at Windsor or the Cotswalds or any other points of interest would be nice. Can anyone recommend a group? There are so many out there, it's hard to know which are reliable and worth the money. And many of them don't offer 1-day trips. And if that doesn't work, how difficult is a bus/train option?
Thanks!

London Walks offers daytrips, but you'll have to see if they fit your schedule:

If the London Waljs schedule doesn't work, I'd just do Salisbury and Stonehenge on your own.

Easy by train from London to Salisbury then the local shuttle bus to the Stonehenge visitors centre.

3-ish hours for Salisbury-Stonehenge-Salisbury, a couple of hours in Salisbury, tbe train rides and you'll be back in London before dinner time.

Don't try to squeeze in a trip to the Cotswolds (note the spelling) and Windsor. That would give you very little time ANYWHERE

What janisj suggests is exactly what my DH and I have done and what I plan for "my" group of 16 to do in June. It's pretty easy, with some planning. No tour guide, but audio guides etc are available and helpful.

Windsor makes a great half day trip from London, but I wouldn't try to combine it with anything else.

Just train to Salisbury, get right on the Stonehenge Tour bus with pickup near the station, have time there as you want, bus back to town, see the Cathedral and Salisbury a bit, train back.

"the Cotswolds (note the spelling)"
Still don't understand why we see so many "Cotswalds" on travel forums? :-)

Thanks for the info on the options.
Apologies about the typo - normally I catch those.
