Steigenberger Airport Hotel

Can anyone comment on this hotel near the airport. Looking for something a little less expensive than the Sheraton.

I should guess you mean FRA Frankfurt airport?

Haven't stayed at the Steigenberger, but it has a decent reputation.
The Sheraton is very convenient as it is connected to the Terminal and you can push your trolley to its lobby, whereas you would need a shuttle bus to the nearby Steigenberger.
That's probably part of what Sheraton makes you pay for.

......the hotel is just fine - geared
towards the business traveller. It
had a very comprehensive breakfast
buffet so you can avoid airline food.

No prob with the shuttle bus either.

We stayed at this hotel in early Dec. It was very nice. Were able to get a snack in the late evening after checkin. We got a military rate. Don't know what their regular rate was. But did have to use a cab.

I always stay there. Well run hotel, less of a "mega" atmosphere than in the Sheraton. I like the fact that the free shuttle will drop you off right at the particular terminal from which you will be departing.

Try their restaurant Untere Schweinstiege; fine authentic German food.
