Staying or stopping in Eisenach, Germany

We will be in Berlin in July and plan to travel by train and stop in Eisenach on our way to Mainz to catch a boat on the Rhine to Koblez.

Can anyone suggest a hotel in Eisenach?

Does the tain station in Eisenach have lockers or left luggage to leave our luggage for a few hours if it becomes necessary for us to just stop for a visit?

Thanks for your help!

I have not srayed in Eisenach, but there are hotels in all categoeries in Eisenach, chains and others. Check http://travel.aol.com/travel-guide/E...rmany:10004013. It's in English.

If you can handle it at all in terms of timing, be sure to visit the nearby Wartburg (there are busses going there). While Americans are captivated with Neuschwanstein (which really isn't a castle in the true sense, it was built after the White Houise in D.C.), the Wartburg is one of the most hitoric castles in Germany. It is big and has phantastic views.

In 06 we stayed at the Schlosshotel at Am Markt 10. Good location. Very nice with a quiet courtyard where you could order drinks in the evening. Large rooms. Excellent buffet breakfast was included. Would very much recommend it.
