Staying Near airport in Zagreb Croatia
Any suggestions for a hotel near the airport. We are only there 1 night before we leave very early in the am. Looking for something clean and comfortable. Traveling with 6 adults.

It really does not take long from downtown to the airport (about 20 minutes). If you really won't have any time and will just sleep, then you can find an airport hotel on trip advisor or booking.com. However, if you will have time for a a stroll and a dinner, I would definitely spend the evening in town. The Arcotel was great and arranged our morning taxi.

I agree - the airport isn't far from the city center. I'd prefer to stay in Zagreb rather than near the airport especially if my time in Zagreb was limited and I had never visited before. Take a taxi.

That could work -- but driving in Zagreb can be a pain, in part because of roads that are shared with tram lines, one-way streets, etc. You might consider options to return the car immediately upon your arrival in Zagreb (or even in its outskirts); use the efficient, convenient, and comfortable public transportation options to get to your hotel; and then take a taxi to the airport the next morning, without having to worry about again negotiating city streets, finding the rental return desk, etc. Just something to consider....
