Staying in Wengen

We will be staying in Wengen for 3-4 days in the beginning of June and are looking for recommendations of the nicest hotels. It is very hard to tell from websites and travelsites.

There is a kosher travel group staying at the Club Med "Wengen Palace" that we would like to join, but there is NO website on the hotel and no pictures we can find of the rooms, interior, etc.

Has anyone stayed there? Is it nice (3-star or more)? Alternatively, where else have you stayed in Wengen that you would recommend.

Thank you.

I haven't stayed at the Club Med, but I found photos taken by reviewers on TA.

I just wanted to mention that early June is early in the season and you could well run into hotel, restaurant and attraction closures. We visit the area often pre-season and I recall one year where nothing seemed to open until the third week of June. Things change though.

We like the Hotel Bellevue in Wengen

There are a few interior photos here too, although not many:

I know the Club Med Wengen.

In Wengen, it is known as The Palace.

It sits on a hill overlooking the chapel of Wengen, and you pass it if you walk from the train station to the Minotel Bellevue--where I stay in Wengen.

The Minotel Bellevue is not luxurious by any means, but because of where it is situated has life-changing views of the Lauterbrunnen Valley and the Jungfrau. Really, you would be mesmerised if you saw the view from the hotel terrace and would never want to leave.

The Palace is a short walk from the train station-walk from the main street past the tennis courts and up the hill past the Schonegg (the best chef in Wengen is here--Hubert Mayer) and Pizza Sina.

Lots of French tour groups stay at the Palace.

Other top hotels in Wengen include the Schonegg and the Alpenrose.
