Coquelicot, our stay in Eus was way back in 2008. We had a lovely little gite in the village with a small balcony that looked across the valley to the mountains. It was most pleasant, especially with a glass of wine in the afternoon. I was not doing trip reports then. In fact, I was not even participating on travel forums. So long ago.
We had another grandson turn three on Mother's Day, but did not get there either. From the end of the week we can travel 150 kms from home for a day trip, so we will perhaps see them soon. We have been very lucky here in Australia, and are starting to relax restrictions slowly, but it is still a big unknown.
It is quite amusing watching old videos. I found some cooking shows with Mireille Johnston from way back in the 90s !! And Peta Mathias in the South of France. She bases in Uzes. Anyway we had a very nice night last night looking at photos of our 2012 trip. Lots of memories.

I hope all of you are doing okay, staying cautious, and getting vaccinated if and when you can. I wish the best for you and your families and friends.
I think of France every day, and each new thread started here on Fodor's cheers me up. There aren't many at the moment but I'll take what I can get.
For fans of Dix pour cent/Call my agent, it'll be available on Netflix on Jan 21 in the US.
There's a French cooking show with Julie Andrieu which has branched out from her usual format. This series visits the historic homes of artists and writers and Julie pairs up with a local home cook to prepare recipes the artists (or more likely their cooks) would have prepared. They recently broadcast a program about the Comtesse de Segur, who wrote children's literature and had a chateau very close to our favorite part of France. It was a thrill to see the Tuesday market at L'Aigle, with nearly everybody wearing masks but, sadly, less than half the usual crowd. They also went to the Abbey of the Trappe and to the Chateau de Livet, which is going on my next trip list. We had a macabre experience at the Abbey, so I don't plan to go back there.
Have you all polished up your trip plans? I've added a few things to the plan for the trip we didn't take. I want to be ready to travel as soon as it's possible, though realistically I know that's not going to happen. But the day when we can travel again seems closer now than it did before they started giving the vaccines. Bon courage.

Hi Coquelicot. We have enjoyed the series with Julie, some more than others. We particularly enjoyed the Toulouse Lautrec episode as it is an area we enjoy, and we have visited the museum of his work in Albi where he was born and also his grave in Verdelais.
We were discussing our prospects for visiting again last night. I read a while back that Australians are not likely to be able to freely visit the northern hemisphere this year. That may change once we see the impact that vaccines have around the world. We do feel a bit more positive about 2022, but not doing any planning. I do not think we will do the trip we had planned for 2020. We may include some parts and we will not change what we do, but we are thinking about fewer bases. While we love discovering new places, one of the reasons we go to France is because we like being there and we have places we could spend time in just for that reason. Similar to you I think.
So at the moment we are still planning travel at home, as much as I would love to be planning for France. I had not realised how much time we spent planning our trips!! It has left a hole in our time, but I do not want to be disappointed again.
Hope everyone is keeping well.

The new melange of artists and food on Les Carnets de Julie is really interesting. It was a good idea on how to mix things up as she heads to various regions.
My latest streaming series that I'm following is Lupin (Netflix). It went to #1 on the streamer in over 10 countries
