Staying in South Kensignton... or should I change hotel to another area?

I'll be staying 4 nights in London and so far Im booked at the LONDON Lodge Hotel in south kensignton, the reviews are pretty good and its few minutes from Earls court tube station. Just curious if I shouild keep this hotel or change hotels and go to say Westminster or another area. The reviews do say great loaction but just trying to get more opinions. Thanks

I recently visited the Victoria & Albert, having taken the tube to the South Kensington station. I thought it was a really nice area. From the museum, I walked through a nice residential neighborhood, past high-end designer shops, to Harrod's. I caught the tube at Knightsbridge. It is a great location.

It wouldn't be my first choice but isn't awful. It is a bit nearer to earl's Court than to High Street Kensington tube station, and farther from Cromwell rd.

If you are getting a decent rate, the location is OK. But if you can get as good a deal farther east in South Kensington or in Westminster or Covent garden or Bloomsbury - that would be my preference.

A LOT depends on how much you are paying.

Didn't see Tabernash's post. The hotel is not near the V&A/South Kens station . . .

It is South Ken only to real estate agents - really near Earl's Court. And if you can possibly manage to be more central I would do it.

Oops-- thanks for correcting my post!

Try londontown.com for lodging by style, price and location.

Last time we were in London, it was a business trip, and we stayed at St Ermin's Hotel

It is quite luxurious (as I said, it was a Business trip-- yay for travel budgets!).
