Tours itself however is a very vibrant university town with a tremendous Latin Quarter type area stuffed with nice restos, etc. Consider at least a short stay in Tours...something very different from Paris and as all French know the folks in the Tourraine speak the finest classical French of any French folk!

Palenq, yes Sorry .. It sounded confusing .. I will be in Tours for 3 weeks and then I will head to Paris for 2 weeks , on my own, and not paid by my company. Definitively will enjoy my 3 weeks in Tours.

sometimes in Tours try to get over to the nearby Vouvray wineries - several gaggled together in this small town - the wine houses cellars are dug into the chalky cliffs to the north of town - tour these cellars and taste and but (but do not drive - France now has taken drinks driving seriously with roadside checks, etc.)

The first apt seem minute - not even room for real furniture and the tiniest TV I ever saw (didn't know they made them that small). And the shower looks like the kind they give you in a tiny cabin on a ship.
As for the 2nd - if you don;t mind all of those stairs - it may be better.
I know there is only one of you but they both seem VERY small. (I lived in a studio for a couple of years - my first apt for me alone - and at the end of the time I would use any excuse not to go home and look at the 4 walls). For a short stay maybe OK.

NYT, yes definitively it is small, but it is only for 2 weeks, and price and the fact of having a kitchen is better than a Hotel. I really like the 2nd one betterthan the 1st one, and I have a good filling with the renter as well.
My only concern with the second one is that I have to pay via a wire transfer for the deposit while the fisrt one acepts pay-pal.

I like the first apartment. The thought of going up and down 6 flights of stairs daily for two weeks is daunting. You may not want to go out again once you get back from work! The interior courtyard at the 17thArr is also charming, and the idea of that market area so near is also a big plus.
