Stay in Seville or Arcos de la Frontera?

We're planning a trip to Spain next spring. I'm wondering is it better to stay in Seville and daytrip to Arcos, Jerez, Rhonda or to stay in Arcos itself? We will have just come from Barcelona and I'm wondering if we will be ready for more of a country setting than Seville. We could still stay 1 night in Seville, move to Arcos for 3 nights then we're on to Nerja for a week. Any suggestions? We will return to Seville from Nerja for the return flight to Barcelona. Thanks for your much appreciated help with this.

i would stay in sevilla at least two nights.
have also stayed at arcos, nice small town, but it was on a whirlwind trip.

i think sevilla merits staying THERE, not daytripping to it. once you leave to daytrip you may want to move on to next hotel.

but maybe you have already been there before?

tuck the car away, and sevilla is very manageable.. it will not feel like a huge city.

By all means stay in Seville there is some magic to Sevilla and the way of life there. Not huge not small it is a wonderful city. Then you can day trip to Cordoba for instance to see the Mezquita if nothing else.

Again, stay in Sevilla. Arcos is a very small village and, in my opinion, it too small for a base of visiting places.

Being in Sevilla, the evening walks is alone worth staying in this city. People are still walking around at two/three in the morning. What a great city.

Arcos is okay and you should visit the Parador but don't stay there for long times.
