Starhotels Splendid Venice?
 

Worth the extra money for this hotel, or should I try to find a cheaper 3 star hotel? I found a rate of 200 euro/night here. We will be in Venice for two days, so I definitely would love a centrally located hotel near the Plaza. Any thoughts?

When will you be there? I don't remember the dates from your other post. Anything near San Marco will be more expensive, including restaurants, and of course, much more crowded. Don't worry about location because Venice is small. Find a hotel you like at the price you want, and go for it.

We are in Venice 5/26 - 5/28.

Thank you so much for these suggestions bfrac. Much appreciated. A number of them have rates that are actually more than the Splendid, surprisingly. But some look reasonable and gorgeous. I love the research!
