St Remy Cooking School

My wife and I will be in St Remy from May 8 to the 14. Looking for suggestions on a cooking class in St Remy or a near by area. We have a car so a little travel is not an issue.

Your opinions are appreciated.

I booked with the International Kitchen in October 2011... check their website to see if they offer cooking classes in that area. The owner, Karen and her employees are a wealth of information about cooking schools in many areas of the world.

Their website is http://www.theinternationalkitchen.com

The one I booked with them was in the Loire Valley... truly worth it!

If you have a car it is very helpful, you can travel a bit if it's not necessarily in St Remy.

The "Aix en Provence - lesson with Marc " is very good. His recipes are traditional provencal and hid house is amazing.

Domaine de Valmouraine also has cooking classes.

Hi Bobby
I'm an American food and travel writer living in St. Remy. In addition to Valmouriane (where the classes may be in French only, I'm not sure), you have two options. One is Mas de Cornud, where the classes are in English. mascornud.com. It's a gorgeous place and I've taken classes there and recommend it highly. The other is a new cookware shop and cooking school called Art & Cook (artandcook.fr). It's also a very nice facility...classes are in French but I believe they told me they sometimes bring in a translator, depending on who's in the group. There are other schools and classes in villages nearby so if none of these work out, you have options. You might enjoy my website ProvencePost.com and you'll find lots of good ideas there for fun things to do in the region. Have fun!

Hi Bobby,
I forgot one. My friends recommended this couple to me. I don't know them but my friends say they're great. They're a couple working together, offering a variety of services. He's a chef and he offers cooking classes and private chef services. They live very close to St. Remy. Angelique and Fabien's details are at alpilles-home-management.com.
Best Wishes!
