St Paul de Vence

When we arrive at the Nice airport, we should clear bye noon and have a 5 1/2 window before being able to enter.

I had thought of spending time in Nice or Cagnes-Sur-Mer, but with 3 cars and eight people, I THINK parking could be difficult.

That leaves me with visiting St Paul de Vance.

Seems like it would take a half hour to get there and then allow an hour to get too our villa which is on the near side of Nice.

That allows 4 hours to visit and while we have been there before, none of the others have.

Does that sound like a plan, or does anyone have another solution for us to consider?

Thanks

If I remember correctly, parking can be a challenge at St Paul de Vence as well.
If you book lunch at l'Colombe d'Or they have secure parking.

Another option might be lunch at the harbor in St Jean Cap Ferrat, and then a visit to Villa Ephrussi which is close by.

Thanks judy; As I recall, parking is on the road just before reaching the old town. Tourists can't enter the town unless staying in a hotel. Too bad, because there is a lot of parking at the other end of the town.

Then there is another way down to park on the street, but I agree, could be very tenuous.

Your suggestion about lunch at the l'Colombe d'Or is a very good one and will see what everyone else thinks.

That is another good suggestion. From the airport we could probably follow promenade Des Anglais and then just follow the road along the sea, like N98.

Last minute dinner Sunday night with family and I can talk about these suggestions.

I've stayed three times at the Colombe D'or.
One year our room had a terrace overlooking the Petanque court. Be sure to visit the Maeght Foundation. Art displayed in and out of the building.

St Paul de Vence has a large multi-story (below street level) which I remember as being on the main road just beyond the village. Lock all luggage in the trunk and park facing out with trunk up against the car park wall.

Depending on the month and day of the week, St Paul can be quite crowded by noon.
