St James
Has anyone stayed at the St.James Hotel in London? Prices? Accomodations? Proximity to everything?
Thanks! |
I have stayed there. It is great hotel, huge rooms...weird layout though as there are outbuildings that they just incorporated into the main hotel. It is walking distance from Buckingham Palace and the Queens Mews. I loved it and would stay there again. Their rates can be found on their web page: http://www.london.crowneplaza.com/lonsj/index.shtml
It all depends on what kind of room you are looking for. Theirs are quite nice, from the regular rooms to the suites. Enjoy! |
Years ago..on the 3rd floor or 4th, a room facing the courtyard. It was November and there were still flowers in all the flower boxes, the bathtub was big enough and deep enough to swim in ( I almost fell asleep in it the first night from jetlag:) and it had a small crystal chandelier over the tub ~
The room had a very large bed and it was very comfortable and cozy. The service was excellent, as was the breakfast buffet ( although all I have is coffee & croissant, they were very good) The location is great! You are a short walk from Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Green Park and the Albert Pub is at the end of the street ( Buckingham Gate) You can catch the #11 bus that takes you to the theater district, and Covent Garden. I would stay there again in a minute! |
There is more than one St. James Hotel..the London Sofitel also carries the name St. James.
The OP needs to be more specific...Crowne Plaza? Sofitel? Or another St. James? |
I was going to say the same thing - there are a few "St James" hotels in London.
If you mean the Crowne Plaza St James you have two good responses. But if you mean one of the others - let us know . . . . . . . |
