St Gilgen, Austria - Laundromats
 

I am staying in St Gilgen in September for 3 nights and was wondering if anyone has used either of the laundromats in town. Are they the drop off service or self service kind ?

I was in St. Gilgen for 10 days in June 2009. We used the Waescherei Mara, which was new at that time. This was a drop off place and I think the clothes were ready the next day and not too expensive. We had asked our hotel about laundromats... I don't think there was a self-service place.

We just love St. Gilgen.

I was there in May, 2009 and there weren't any laundromats. We were directed to a nearby town but that laundromat had closed down. We ended up taking our laundry to a place across from our hotel where we dropped it off and picked it up the next day. Don't remember the name of the place but the lady did a beautiful job!

There is a laundry right across from the Schernthaner Hotel where we stay but we have never used their service. This may be the one TAW is talking about.

Bettyk - yes, that's the one! That's my favorite hotel, too! Had everything we need plus a gracious hostess/owner!
