Split to Hvar

Would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions about making our way from from Split Airport to Hvar.

We'll be arriving into Split by air at 0920 and hope to make our way to the ferry
docks for a 1130 ferry departure to Hvar. Does this sound do able? Is 2 hours enough
time to make our way through customs etc at Split airport and then board a ferry at
1130 to Hvar ? Or do you think we need to allow more time and take the 1500 ferry from Split to Hvar. Again, any thoughts or suggestions - much appreciated !

I think you can make it, if your plane is on time. It's less than 30 minutes from the airport to Split harbor by taxi. Enjoy! You'll love Hvar.

hmm
i dont know about this

all i know is that there was a girl at the hvartown info bureau desperately trying to get back to split
she had thought she had enough time but the ferry had already gone
she was insisting that the timetable back on the mainland was such and such a time but the computer in hvar showed another time

it used to happen a lot in greece - the ferries were all over the place regarding schedules

so to be safe id leave plenty of time- the airport is actually closer to trogir so maybe you can spend a few hours there or in split itself

when you arrive be sure to double check with a local - sometimes the timetables are confusing!

should be all right. The road was being made up last summer (which added a lot of time to the journey) but that must be clear now

Which ferries are you taking? What date are you travelling?
If you have to wait till the afternoon, there is a left luggage office in Split and plenty of places to have something to eat or drink.

I think 2 hours may be a little tight. I was there in August last year and as one of the other posters said there was some construction on the road that slowed traffic down. I was flying to Split from Rome and immigration wasn't super fast. We took the Croatian airlines bus which was a lot cheaper than a taxi, we had to wait about 10 minutes for the bus to fill before it left but it is direct to the harbour where you purchase tickets to Hvar.
