spendy tour guide in Rome named Fulvio?
Has anyone here ever had a tour guide in Rome named Fulvio (don't know his last name). My friend who is going with me was just recommended this gentleman by her boss, who just got back. Supposedly he gives the Cadillac of tours - 900E for two days - but you really get to see EVERYTHING.
I don't know many details yet, will post more here later when I do, but for 900E he had better put you on his shoulders to see the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel!! |

No guide can be worth that much. And 900 Euro for two days is too low, as far as I can make out from the Web site posted by Ron. An 8-hour day -- guide only -- costs 440 Euro PLUS you have to pay for the taxi, limo, whatever form of transportation; all admission fees for yourself and guide; lunch for yourself and, it is strongly suggested, for the guide. And then the guide probably expects a hefty tip.
No way, Jose -- or Fulvio! |
Sounds like a nice racket if they can get away with it.

Degas, a business opportunity for you! (Maybe focused on Paris, though.)

If the testimonials are accurate, it sounds like the very hefty cost was worth it to them. So I couldn't imagine spending 1200 Euros or so on a guide for two days, but I can see it would be worth it for some people who don't mind spending the money.
