Spending the Night at FCO
A friend of mine is returning to the US from Italy after a 2 week visit and has to check out of his accommodation the day before his flight. He has opted to spend the night in the airport in Rome rather than pay for a hotel room. His flight leaves around 8:00 a.m.
He is an adult and financially secure, but is the type to not spend a nickel if he doesn't have to.
Does spending the night in the Rome airport sound like a bad idea to anyone except me?

I only went thru the 1st 2 pages
but the reviews don't seem to be in a strick chronological order, so don't stop when the reviews get older date wise.
