Jocelyn, I liked your pictures too. The market picture would even make me want to prepare a meal while on vacation (well, only in Paris that is), that's how beautiful the vegetables looked :)

Jocelyn------no worries-----I loved your photos. My very first trip to Europe was this past June, and we only had about 24 hours in Paris and I LOVED IT. So your pix actually brought tears to my eyes. I also found the Parisians very friendly. We had spent 9 days in Italy (which I adored) and when we finally arrived in Paris at the end of our tour, I was VERY VERY tired, and was actually thinking that maybe I was gonna be one of those people who "hate" Paris. It was rainy, Notre Dame and the Seine looked gloomy, and i was exhausted. But after a shower, some food, and a good night's rest, I realized how wrong I was. The gloominess the next day was so charming, and I ABSOLUTELY ADORED Paris, and I definitely want to go back. I was on a tour, so there was no planning involved on my end (very new experience for me, had to give up some control, but I handled it) :) :) Anyway, my sis and I were free to roam the streets of Paris for a day----and we loved it---but there was no rhyme or reason to our roaming. We spent most of our time in the 18th 'cus that's the area we happened to find outselves in, and we truly enjoyed that area!! But that was where we spent most of our time, and I KNOW we'd love the other 17!! We also stayed in the 5th---can't even remember the name of the hotel (since I didn't make the arrangements!), but I can't wait to go back. "Axsys"----please post all 467 of your pix!! My first hour in Paris, was with my French step-mother sitting at a table at the corner of St.Germain and St. Michele, sipping the first of many Kirs. I have since taken my husband and daughters to the same place and I'm still awe struck. I will be in Paris again in April with two friends that have never been to Paris. I plan to have yet one more Kir (ok maybe more) and still be in awe of the beauty around me.

Jocelyn, those are wonderful pictures, I loved the Seine at night.

Jocely, I liked your pictures, too; my favorite is the Seine! My Paris pictures are full of vegetables and fruits and fish because the markets are just so colorful. (We were there last February when Paris was mostly shades of grey.) My son and DIL are there now, and I am anxiously waiting to hear about their adventures!

Jocelyn, your photos were great. Especially the pictures of Sainte Chappelle. I won't show them to my husband who will be jealous you got such great pictures of it. What kind of camera did you use?

Thanks, AGM. Our camera is a 3.3 megapixel Sony Cyber-Shot. It's 3 or 4 years old, so of course hubby is clamoring for a new camera. 8-|

I have the same camera! It's a bit larger than the ones they make these days, but it hasn't let me down yet.

DH and I had a trip planned to the Amalfi Coast for this June, but I just called and changed our flight. We're going to Paris! I can't wait to experience this magical city with my loving Hus. ((L)) We'll spend 8 days in an apartment on Rue de Passy in the 16th. I'm looking forward to a slower, romantic trip, with Paris in full bloom, shoulder to shoulder with all the other tourists, lol.

I'm not going to Paris until September but, honest to goodness, I'm there NOW!! Reminds me of my pending 4-month trip to Europe during 2nd and 3rd year university (about 30 years ago), and I was so excited that I was sure I'd die before I got there! Well done, Jocelyn P.
