Special Paris restaurant to celebrate romantic event - near Intercontinental Le Grand

Hi - my boyfriend and I won a weekend in Paris - first class eurorail London to Paris and free weekend at the Hotel Intercontinental Le Grand...we are able to take the weekend of my birthday at the end of January and want someplace really lovely and memorable for dinner - we both love french, steak, seafood, italian, asian - what would you recommend that's within a nice stroll of the Le Grand??? All suggestions very much appreciated!!!

Hi Kt,

For 400E for two, why limit your choices to the vicinity of the hotel?

For that amount you can go to Jules Verne or Taillevent and take a cab.

You might like "Le Train Bleu".

Nice stroll
Le Grand Vefour (at Palais Royal)
just a gorgeous, wonderful restaurant
If you don't go crazy with wine it will make your budget. Ditto Les Ambassadeurs in the Crillon hotel.

A room with a view: Jules Verne (in the Eiffel Tower, not really a stroll but easy enough to get to) reserve months in advance for dinner
also with a view: Tour d'Argent, just over a bridge into the 5th, but gorgeous view of Notre Dame at night

A nice 1-km walk will take you to Armand au Palais Royal at 4 rue de Beaujolais. But I agree that with a budget of 400€ why limit yourselves to the Opéra area when tout Paris is so accessible?

I second Armand at Palais Royale, but with a budget of 400e, I would go to Le Grand Vefour.
