Special evening in Paris for a 16th Birthday
My daughter will celebrate her 16th birthday in Paris in late January. We plan to spend a mother daughter 4 day trip to Paris, have been before when she was just 7. Her actual birthday is on a Sunday, and we will be staying at the Hilton near the Eiffel Tower for just the one night, other nights in the St.Germain area. Any advice for a special Sunday Brunch, or afternoon tea or dinner place that would be fun for a teenager? atmosphere is as important as food, primarily to get some birthday cake or dessert. I appreciate any suggestions you can give ! This has been her dream for years so we are very excited..

Hi T,
>Any advice for a special Sunday Brunch, .... www.musee-jacquemart-andre.com After brunch, spend some time going through the historic house and its collection. Then take a stroll down the Champs to place Concorde, the Tuileries and the Louvre. Then take the www.batobus.com loop to the Eiffel tower, etc back to the Champs Elysee stop. Happy B'day to DD. The price is up there (50 euros per person) but if you can handle that, try brunch/breakfast at the Crillon hotel on the Place de Concorde. The place is over the top elegant and the spread is outstanding. It is truly memorable.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will check out the links and share with my daughter. I know it will be cold but we don't care- it's still Paris.

The Les Ambassadeurs (Hotel Crillon) proposed brunch is 66 - 72 euros.
I inquired recently and received the menu and pricing from the concierge... |
Oops. Sorry to steer you wrong. Must have been just breakfast that we had for 50 euros. OTOH, their just breakfast was swell and still gives the opportunity to see the place. Of course, you'd have to have it some day other than Sunday if brunch is all they serve on Sunday.
