Sparkle at Eiffel Tower
I "thought" I read on the Eiffel Tower web site that the "10 minute" light show on the Eiffel Tower ended at the end of September. Does anyone know if it goes through the end of 2000?

Thanks!
|
I BELIEVE THAT IT WILL BE THERE FOR AT LEAST UNTIL THEN WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE IT! IT IS AN AMAZING SIGHT!
|
How often does the light show take place? I will be in Paris in September and would love to see it.

|
Hi John:
I believe every 1/2 hour the show begins and lasts about 15 minutes. Enjoy your trip!
|
When we were there in July, the Tower sparkled at 10 and 11 pm and at midnight for about 15 minutes each time.

Outstanding event. We could see it from our hotel room.

Ahh...Paris.

The sparkling lights schedule through September 21st is as follows: 10:00 pm- 10:10pm; 11:00 pm- 11:10pm; midnight- 00:10am; 01:00 am- 01:10am; sparking lights usual Tower's lightings
turned off 02:00 am- 02:10am.

To the best of my knowledge, the sparkling lights will continue through the end of the year, but the hours may change (due to changes in daylight hours) to probably one hour earlier first and last lighting.
According to my information, the Tower will sparkle every hour on the hour during hours lit through all of 2000.

The first nightly light show happens on the hour, the first hour after it is completely dark, so the earlier it gets dark, the earlier they start. I was in Paris the week after the spring time change, and during that time, the first show was moved from 8 to 9 (now 10). Incidentally, they start lighting the tower at dusk, and light it progressively as the sky darkens. Quite a sight over an hour or so.
