Spare week...where would you go?
 

Hi, We have a 5 week holiday coming up next May. Travelling with 2 kids, aged 2 and 4. <BR>Our basic plan so far is...<BR><BR>1 week Somerset (and surrounds, tracing family history, Legoland etc.)<BR><BR>1 week Yorkshire (and surrounds.)<BR><BR>1 week with friends (Shropshire as a base.)<BR><BR>*1 week spare*<BR><BR>1 week London.<BR><BR>We are travelling with our 2 young children, also meeting up with other family members for the first 2 weeks, then next week with friends, then the last 2 weeks on our own (ie, us and the kids.)<BR><BR>Any suggestions as to the 'spare week.'<BR>Wife wants to go to Iceland. Cruise to Norway also an option. Scotland, Paris other possibilities.<BR><BR>Very open to suggestions. What's your vote?<BR><BR>Thanks for any advice,<BR>m<BR>Max

Dorset, Devon and Cornwall - your children will love the seaside - there's good restaurants and lots of gardens/historic houses worth a visit.

Paris &amp; EuroDisney OR southern Spain for a week on the beach.

Max, I think I'd go where my wife wanted to go. :-)

The Lake District in England is very pretty, northwestern Scotland has some pretty dramatic scenery . . .
