since you enjoy taking trains every day, my only suggestion would be to stay ( at least in Madrid )
in a hotel next to Atocha train station.
It is a pity you have no time to see a great city like Madrid.
Keep in mind, the train to Segovia departs from another station - Chamartin ,( in the north part of town.)
