How crowded is Spain in March? Do I need to make reservations for Barcelona attractions and Granada (other than Alhambra) attractions in advance in March?

I'd book in advance La Sagrada Familia not because you have to but to save time.

Crowds will depend on the calendar and events. This year I think Easter is early April. If OTOH Easter was in March you'd have much higher crowds.

Barcelona is a relatively large city you're going to be in a crowd even if it's just locals.

Because Holy Week doesn’t fall in March this year, you won’t deal with the large Holy Week crowds in Granada, so you won’t need to pre-book anything in Granada other than your timed tickets for the Alhambra (the specific time slot is only for your entrance to the Nasrid Palace-you can see the other sections at your leisure). I am headed to Granada in early March and have nothing else pre-booked.

For Barcelona, as Traveler_Nick says, I would definitely book the Sagrada Familia in advance to avoid an extremely long line, and timed tickets to the Parc Güell you will need to pre-book. Expect large crowds in Barcelona, really, any time of the year—-low cost flights from all over Europe for an easy long weekend escape, mega cruise ships in port, major international congresses keep the city busy and crowded throughout the year.

If you plan to be in Sevilla and visit the Real Alcázar, those tickets can sell out, especially if you want to visit the upstairs Royal Apartments (Cuarto Real). Those visits happen only in the morning and are capacity controlled. The line to enter the Alcázar can get fairly long around 11 am. Ditto to the Cathedral. You can visit first the Baroque Iglesia de El Salvador when it opens at 10:15 am, which is a magnificent building, and purchase a combo El Salvador, Catedral and Giralda ticket there, that is valid for a couple of days. It’s the “Visita Conjunta”. You don’t have to visit all the monuments on the same day.
With this combo ticket, you than have direct access to the Cathedral without standing in line.
