The temps from the middle of August, this site shows about 26/27 degrees. That's not cold. In fact, it's a nice temp for daily weather.

When are you planning to arrive in Barcelona. If you're arriving towards the end of August, the temps will be cooler. September drops considerably.

thanks blackduff
is it rainy season there now?

It has been cold for the past two days. Yesterday it poured down rain in the afternoon (just during naptime) and at night there was a short but torrential downpour that I just missed. Today the skies are cloudy and grey and I am wearing pants and a longsleeved black top. The only reason I am in sandals is that I have yet to get my Fall shoes in the mail. It will warm up this week, though, I am pretty sure. I mean, it is still August and I still need a good tan for the winter!

I'm 200 kms North from Barcelona, so my weather is a bit difference. Plus, I'm on the other side of the Pyrenees.

Today was cool (26 degrees right now at lunch)and we haven't any rain of any sort for this summer. Tomorrow is promised but ?????.

2todos, you're going to be happy even it rains a bit. Barcelona is lovely.

Claire, how are things in Barcelona right now?

Little sister is driving there on Wednesday. Their only plans is a Joan Gamper match (she says that their tickets are cheaper because they must be sitting right in the middle of the german fans) and going to the beach (they have got a very decent apartment right there).

Anything that it is closed right now that I could tell her?

Thanks a lot,

Cova

Cova- I was out and about on my bici today and it looked like a ghost town up north (I was in the upper Eixample and Gràcia, which is set up for les festes). I was downtown at lunch, though, and everything was hopping and bustling as normal, just very few locals and lots of Northerners (I got to speak Norwegian twice!).

The beach businesses are doing well right now. I was in Bogatell last weekend and everything was open and serving good though over-priced food.

It is supposed to stay cool, though, which is good for me as I am up and down on the bici all day, but your sister might get a little cold on the beach. Sun is supposed to be out tomorrow, though, and that is always a good thing.

Claire, thanks a lot.

It sounds perfect, because they are planning to go running a lot, so I guess colder is better.
