Spain trip, 11 cities in 17 days? Please help with itinerary

Hi there guys. I'm going to spain in october with my husband and our baby which will be then a 5 month old. It's our first trip to spain and we want to cover so much! I really wanted to get a taste of both south and north, as well as Madrid and Barcelona. But I do realized this is a little bit rushy and since it's our first trip with an infant I wanted some input from you guys. We are really open to any type of experience, our favorite in trips is experiencing culture and traditions. But we also like all the other aspects of traveling and are open to everything.

This is the itinerary that I would love to be able to do but wanted to here what's you'll opinion on it:

We are flying in and out of Madrid. But the first day we get there early morning. So I thought we could go ahead and get a flight to Barcelona and start the trip from there and end the trip in madrid since our going back flight is also in the morning. We have 17 days with the first travel day (getting to madrid in the morning) and without the going back day.

Barcelona - 4 days with day trip to Monteserrat

Bilbao - 3 days with day trip to San Sebastian

Seville - 4 days, day trips to cordoba and ronda

Granada - 2 days

Madrid - 4 days with day trips to toledo and segovia

We would take flights from Madrid-Barcelona, Barcelona-Bilbao, and Bilbao-Seville

Bus from Seville to Granada

And take use the train when going from Granada to Madrid

Do you think this is doable?

would rather stay in San Sebastian or Bilbao when doing that area?

Any suggestions on how to make this itinerary perhaps flow better?

Any suggestions very welcomed!

Sorry - in 17 days with an infant would do at most 4 cities - more likely 3. So my advice is just to cut a bunch and try with a more livable itinerary - the one you have is nothing but a tour of Spanish airports and train stations.

IMHO I would pick 2 of north, center south and Atlantic coast. You really can;t do more in the time you have, esp traveling with a baby which will really slow you down.

Sounds a bit insane at first glance, the thought of possible child abuse came a moment later. A child that young requires a lot of sleep, which you will have to deprive it of if you want to keep up your schedule. Are you planning on bringing a nanny, or just drag the 5-month old around with you?

And just imagine all the logistics of travel with a baby. You need to carry nappies/diapers, milk (how do you heat it up?), solid food (how do you make it up? Hot water?), change of clothing, wipes, lotions etc. While you are visiting Prado museum, or Sagrada Familia or tapas crawl in Seville? While Spain is getting better, it's still behind UK and US in terms of baby facilities. If the baby wakes up with temperature, your plan for the day is put on hold (including pre-booked visit to Alhambra or catching next flight). The only sensible option is to stay in two places, a week or so at a time in an apartment and do day trips. Then you have kitchen, washing machine and drier at hand, essential with a baby.
More ambitious travels and sighseeing can wait till your child is older.

1) Don't try to do this route
2) See if you can get open jaw
3) Focus on three cities tops
4) Do use trains more on this journey, much more baby friendly
5) Do not waste time going to Ronda
