Spain - travel agents?
 
We found the Italian travel agents helpful in buying train tickets, etc at no extra charge.
Is that true in Spain too? Rick Steves recommended agents in Italy but his SPain book doesn't mention.

Remember, there is no free lunch unless you're dealing directly with the railway. You can book your travel online at renfe.es.

Thanks. We are do-it-your-selfers but just can't get far with renfe to book the train tickets so thought we might utilize a travel agent in Madrid and Granada but not for the overall trip.

If you are having problems with RENFE do a search here as there have been loads of postings about the problems with the train website, or read through the following as it will help:
