I would like to go to Malaga, Spain in September of 2009, while there I would like to visit Morocco!

Does anyone have any suggestions on good ferries from Malaga to Morocco or other methods from getting to Morocco from Spain?

The easiest way to get to Morocco from Spain is to take the ferry from Algeciras to Tangiers. Algeciras lies to the west of Malaga near Gibraltar. There are many tour companies in Malaga and the resorts of the Costa del Sol which offer day tours and overnight tours to Tangiers. Of course you can take a bus to Algeciras and once there buy a ticket for the crossing. The ferry company is Transmediterranea. Many years ago there was a direct ferry from Malaga to Tangiers but no more. I visited the website kindly provided by ribeirasacra and found the only crossing out of Malaga was to Melilla. There is also a crossing point from Tarifa but that is even further than Algeciras.

Do you mean: 'la bés?' A Moroccan Arabic greeting like 'que tal' or 'ça va.'

Raydotman tells you your options. You can take a bus to Algeciras from Malaga: Tour bus or regular commercial bus. I would opt for the former for a daytrip because the regular scheduled buses might not run after 21:00 or so.

I could be wrong NEDSIRELAND, but "La Bés" as you spell it is a dialectal phrase (a Berber phrase that made its way into the Moroccan Arabic dialect) and therefore has no official spelling, as Moroccan Arabic is not a written language. And I know what it means, I have many Moroccan friends and learned the phrase from them. Thanks again!
