Please look at my other numerous posts re Barcelona and Seville; I shall summarise my thoughts here.
Barcelona is flashy, trying too hard to be modern, and lacking a soul. Seville is a warmer city, more genteel, full of history, and is a place where one wants to return to.

I absolutely LOVE them both--would have to flip a coin to decide. We're going back to Barcelona in April because we're on our way to Mallorca and I'm very excited about being there again, but would be just as excited about being in seville again too. Both have so much, but are quite different. For me, the highlights in Barcelona are the Gaudi architecture; in Seville I adore getting lost and the flamenco dancing.

I, too, adore both...but prefer Barcelona for the Gaudi architecture and the other fabulous art museums. I also prefer "mastering" larger urban areas...feeling anonymous...that sort of thing.

Thank you. I might just flip a coin - or go to Barcelona, which would be closer for us (We will be traveling from Warsaw, Poland)
Thanks again. ANY more input will be MUCH APPRECIATED!
